Highlights of the 22nd Annual EAU Congress in Berlin, 21 to 24 March 2007

With about 12,500 urologists from 113 different countries it was the largest EAU meeting ever. Among the participants a considerable number of delegates came from Asia, North- and South America, the Middle East and Africa and turned this European meeting into a global urological event. The largest group of delegates, 1,150, came from the hosting country Germany.

The agenda covered the latest developments in basic research, diagnosis and therapy of genito-urinary diseases and offered 48 state-of-the-art lectures and debates, 32 European School of Urology (ESU) courses and 88 oral, poster and video sessions, for which 3,400 abstracts had been submitted and 1,150 were selected.
