In the sections below, you will find the full length versions of our most significant articles recently published in European Urology all divided by topic and article type to make your browsing more effective.
Please note that as of January 2009, we have introduced 2 very interesting new sections: Platinum Priorities and Collaborative Reviews.
The Platinum Priorities section is dedicated to giving the spotlight to a select number of exceptionally high quality articles and their accompanying full length articles. We are sure you will immediately understand why these articles have been given center stage in each issue.
In addition, we have joined together the top world recognized experts in different fields along with today’s rising stars in order to produce our Collaborative Review Articles. Guided by these experts, our chosen young lead author has carried out an exhaustive systematic review article on a particular focus.
We hope you will enjoy the new sections we have implemented and we encourage you to use these articles for your personal enrichment, for teaching purposes and for upcoming publications. As always, we welcome any suggestions, comments and recommendations for improvement.

In this section you will find what we feel are the most interesting, most informative articles submitted to The Platinum Journal. We have created this section in order to give the most exposure possible to our exceptionally intriguing articles. We have selected various EAU Guidelines articles, previously published in European Urology, for this section. These Guidelines have been created with the aim of helping urologists in their every day practice, providing access to the best contemporaneous consensus view on the most appropriate management presently available. The current body of texts available covers the whole range of the urological field.
Surgery in Motion ![]()
Under the supervision of Prof. Markus Graefen, the Surgery in Motion section provides surgeons with a channel to demonstrate both new and common surgical techniques applied to various interventions. The contributions selected for this section come from the most experienced surgeons and recognized institutions around the world. In this section, you can access both the full length version of the article and the video which explain and demonstrate these interesting approaches.

Words of Wisdom
Under the responsibility of Prof. Fritz Schroeder, the most prolific authors, scientists and surgeons have given their opinion of controversial subjects published in various journals in the field of Urology.
Interviews and Debates
Since January 2006, Dr. Christine McKillop has interviewed and mediated debates by the most well recognized authorities in the field of Urology. The interview section of European Urology allows the reader to hear first hand what some of our most prolific leaders have to say while the "Open to Debate" sections provides a stage to discuss the advantages and drawbacks of certain surgical techniques, drug use or therapy.
Letters to the Editor
After the recent inclusion of the new article type "Letters to the Editor NOT referring to a recent journal Article," we have received many extremely interesting pieces which we are proud to publish under this new section. In addition, please find the links to the classic "Letter to the Editor" which refer to a recently published article in the Platinum Journals. We hope you find these comments interesting and informative.
