Testicular microlithiasis is an imaging entity of the testicle with questionable significance as a marker for testicular cancer. In 2001 Decastro et al. reported on a large prospective screening study establishing the prevalence of testicular microlithiasis to be 5.6% in a healthy asymptomatic population of Army volunteers 18 to 35 years old. In contrast, testicular cancer develops in only 5 of 100,000 men.

The new American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology/Radiation Therapy Oncology Group consensus definition of biochemical failure after radiotherapy for prostate cancer is defined as a prostate-specific antigen level at or greater than the absolute nadir PSA level plus 2 ng/mL. Because this definition inevitably will be used to compare cancer control rates after radiotherapy to those after surgery, Nielsen et al. (2008) examined the effect of this comparison.

Using hair dyes does not increase bladder cancer risk

(2008) compared, updated, and expanded the analyses of two previous meta-analyses of personal hair dye exposure and bladder cancer, and briefly discussed the biological plausibility of a systemic hazard to human health from exposure to para-phenylenediamine (PPD), a key chemical in hair dyes.
